H2 Power: Cheaper and Cleaner

Advanced Renewable

The core message of SDG number 7 is to make energy cheaper and cleaner, Affordable Clean Energy. SDG number 7 also implies that current energy is not cheap and not clean, so the target for SDGs 2030 is still to be achieved.

In order to support the targets agreed upon by the world for the SDGs, we at the Advanced Renewable Organization (ARO) research team maintain an on going research and development and keep publishing the result for the world, from which we expect SDG number 7 in particular could be achieved even before 2030.

One of the way is to utilize hydrogen energy which is more down to earth. That hydrogen energy is the cleanest, the world has agreed. It's just that production and logistics are currently still expensive, so the affordable criteria have not been met.

However, with our findings that green hydrogen can be produced from charcoal, it only takes 3 kg of charcoal plus 6.26 kWh of energy to deliver 1 kg of H2, green hydrogen production could be very cheap. Even much much cheaper than conventional hydrogen when combined with logistic cost, because this green hydrogen is produced in-situ and in-time, only where and when it is needed, which automatically eliminates the very expensive logistics costs of hydrogen.

From the reaction series and calculation of hydrogen fuel consumption for electricity generation below, we can see that only 375 kg of charcoal is needed to produce 1 MWh of electricity, this includes the energy for the process itself. When compared with diesel fuel which requires around 313 liters for the same 1 MWh, there will be very significant cost savings, around 70% - 80% depending on the price of diesel and the price of charcoal in our area.

What is needed then is a power plant that is ready to be fueled by hydrogen. It would be ideal if we could produce it ourselves - so as not to depend on imported machines as has happened so far. The picture below is the H2 power generator that we designed with AI assistance. If making it ourself requires a lot of time and investment however, it doesn't matter if we just buy one that is already on the market for time being, several big brands in the world have also produced this hydrogen power generator.

If it is felt that these hydrogen power generation machines are still too expensive to invest in, we can reduce this program to using gas power generator or even diesel power generator. It's just that for gas and diesel power generators, we don't need pure hydrogen as fuel, just hydrogen which is still mixed with CO gas, or what is called syngas.

As a result, there are many paths to SDG number 7, Affordable Clean Energy mentioned above, the inhabitants of this planet must be able to achieve it before 2030 so that our earth does not get hotter quickly, because even now there is already a part of this earth - which is said to be as hot as a leaking hell - 62 degrees Celsius!
